1. What counts as user content in WordShot
One single thing: the display name, 2 to 16 characters, run through a filter. You only need one to play with someone online, and it's the only thing one person sees of another.
There's no chat, no groups, no messages, no images, no posts, no public profiles, and no searching for people.
2. What's not allowed
A display name can't be:
- insulting;
- sexual;
- discriminatory;
- an impersonation of another person or a brand;
- an advertisement for anything.
3. How to report someone
There are three doors, and the label is always "Block and report":
- at the bottom of a match, next to "Resign";
- on every row of the "The full deck" lobby;
- on every row of "Your rivals".
4. What happens when you tap it
First, a sheet opens explaining what will happen. There are two buttons:
- "Just block";
- "Report and block".
If you choose to report, the app asks for a reason from a closed list of four: the name they show · they're cheating · they're harassing me · something else. Blocking is included.
There's no free-text field.
5. What blocking does
- It works both ways: neither can challenge the other, random play won't pair them again, and neither one's invites work for the other.
- The open match ends, as if you'd resigned.
- The blocked person isn't notified.
6. Our commitment
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, the consequence ranges from requiring a name change to closing the account.
7. How to undo it
Under Profile ▸ Blocked players, with "Unblock" on every row. Unblocking only opens the door going forward: the match that ended when you blocked stays ended.
